Carrick started as a private institution in 1987 to provide personalized education to people form all walks of life and from all corners of the globe.

Throughout our 21 year history we have grown and diversified to offer a broad range of courses and services to cater to students changing career goals.

At Carrick Institute of Education studying vocational programs gives you more than a certificate or diploma; it gives you hands on experience needed to be competitive in the job market. Carrick prides itself on its industry relevant courses and its focus on practical experience so graduates are job ready from day one.

Carrick offers a variety of courses from Certificate to Advanced Diploma. They offer courses in hairdressing, commercial cookery, patisserie, hospitality operations, community services work, business, accounting, tourism and event management. Vocational courses can also be used as pathways to Carrick's degree programs including the Bachelor of Accounting and Bachelor of Business (Hospitality and Tourism Management).

Carrick has campuses nationally in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Each campus has modern facilities that simulate real life working experiences so students get the very best from their learning environment. Facilities include resource centers with free internet access, fully operational hairdressing salons, commercial kitchens and an operational bar.

All of Carrick’s campuses are in the heart of the city, easy walking and public transport distance to the unique attractions these cities have to offer, from cafes, shopping and cultural events to pristine parks and beaches.

Carrick offers a range of other services to students. Student Services offer free welfare and counseling, organize orientations and frequent social and sporting activities. Carrick Recruitment and Training Services also assist students in creating a resume and securing jobs in their chosen field.

CARRICK CAMPUSES

Adelaide campus

Brisbane campus

Brisbane, the centre of Australia's fastest growing state is also the country's third largest city. Built on the banks of the Brisbane River, the city provides the ideal cosmopolitan experience: fast- growing with an active outdoorsy lifestyle.

Melbourne campus

At Carrick, the programs are designed in consultation with industry. This means they are providing graduates with the skills specifically required for the industry and means they have a greater capacity to achieve employment. It is important that programs are formed with clear career paths in mind, as they assist students to achieve their goals.

 

Five intakes each year

Carrick offers students the option of multiple intakes throughout the year providing you with more flexibility to commence your studies. Some institutions will make you wait for over half a year to start a course, but Carrick's multiple intakes allow you to begin studying sooner.

Fast-track your course

Carrick's programs allow you to fast-track your studies. Instead of taking years to complete a traditional apprenticeship Carrick's students are able to complete a qualification in one year.

Vocational pathways

Students who do not meet the requirements for direct entry into Carrick Higher Education's Bachelor programs may choose to take advantage of Carrick's vocational pathway program. There are a number of special pathways from the Vocational programs that allow you to progress onto the Bachelor programs with credit; meaning you can complete your degree even faster.

Access to the Carrick Jobs and Careers Service

All Carrick students have access to Carrick Jobs and Careers Service. It is a free service that provides students with relevant job placement assistance with some of Australia's most well known companies either whilst they are studying or upon completion of their course. Other services offered include resume writing and interview techniques.
