Established in 1989 in Coffs Harbour, CTIC began as a private Business College offering Business courses which were developed by the Principals of the College, including Robyn Wills, before the inception of the Vocational Education Training Accreditation Board (VETAB).
In its first year of operation, the Principals were approached by the local Commonwealth Employment Service to commence delivering business traineeships.
The College was also one of the first private training organisations outside Sydney and Newcastle to become accredited by VETAB in 1992 and was additionally approved as a provider of courses to overseas students.
CTIC has continuously kept abreast of changes in training needs and markets. New courses were added to the College’s scope of registration in 1993 when Hospitality and Tourism were introduced. In 2004 Child Care and Beauty Therapy courses were commenced. Cass Training was one of the first Colleges to introduce the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to the area in 2005.
Traineeships are now available at Cass Training across a whole gambit of courses including business, legal administration, tourism, hospitality, child care, nail technology, retail, and frontline management.
Both State and Federal Government-funded courses have also been available through the College since 1992. We currently offer courses under the Productivity Places Program and recently the College was approved to deliver the Certificate IV in Small Business Management under the NEIS Program.
The College took on new directors in January 2008 and rebranded itself to Cass Training International College (CTIC) and remained under Robyn Wills’ stewardship.
In August 2008, CTIC was approved by NEAS as an ELT College to deliver English Courses to overseas students. The College expanded further with the setup of an additional campus at North Sydney in December 2008 which currently focuses on English.
The North Sydney campus moved to the City on the 1st November 2010.
